Pantry & stock tracking

Know what you already have so you stop double-buying.

The pantry tracks what you already have at home so the meal planner and grocery list can avoid sending you to buy things you do not need. It is part of Orbrey Plus.

Adding items manually

Tap Add item and enter a name, quantity, unit, and optional location (fridge, freezer, pantry shelf, etc.). Orbrey remembers the item so future additions auto-complete. Locations let you filter the pantry view by where things actually live.

Barcode scan

Tap the barcode icon to scan a product. Orbrey looks up the product name and standard pack size, pre-filling the item details. Review and confirm before saving. Scanning is the fastest way to add items after a shop.

Auto-stocking from a receipt

Take a photo of your shopping receipt and ask your connected AI assistant to stock the pantry from it. The assistant reads the receipt, matches items to known products, and adds them to the pantry in the correct quantities and units. This is the fastest option after a large shop — no scanning individual items.

Expiry tracking

Set a best-before or use-by date when adding an item. Orbrey flags items that are expiring within the next seven days with an amber indicator in the pantry view. The household-curator AI agent includes expiring pantry items in its weekly digest.

How cooking deducts stock

When you mark a meal as cooked in the meal planner, Orbrey deducts the recipe's ingredients from the pantry in the quantities used, adjusted for the number of servings you cooked. If a recipe calls for 400 g of chicken and you cooked 3 servings instead of 4, Orbrey deducts the proportional amount. Items that reach zero are removed from the pantry automatically.

Finding recipes from what's on the shelf

The pantry-to-recipe AI skill suggests recipes from your household book that use what is already in your pantry, minimising the number of new items you need to buy. Ask your AI assistant: “What can we make with what's in the pantry this week?”
